Python/SQL Application Developer

Write data-heavy applications for a markets risk and finance team.

The team replaces spreadsheet processes with maintained Python applications. You will take requirements from analysts, model the data properly and ship tools that run on schedule and fail loudly. Hybrid, three days on site.

• Design and build Python services and batch jobs over large SQL datasets
• Tune queries and schemas for daily risk and P&L processes
• Document and hand over each tool to the support team

• 4+ years of Python in production
• Advanced SQL, ideally PostgreSQL or Sybase
• Exposure to financial data is a plus

$75–90/hr
